The real Bamboo Lounge was a two-story Polynesian-themed night club, casino, and fleamarket frequented by the Mafia. It was located in Brooklyn, New York and was burned down. In the film the scenes set at the Bamboo Lounge were filmed at the (now closed) Hawaii Kai Restaurant at 49th Street and Broadway in Manhattan, New York.
